The People’s Festival
about
The NYC Civic Engagement Commission (CEC) is an agency dedicated to enhancing civic participation, promoting civic trust, and strengthening democracy.
I acted as a lead graphic designer for the People’s Festival - a city-wide celebration hosted by the CEC in 2021. The festival hosted events for the 33 neighborhoods hardest hit by COVID-19.
My Role
I worked closely with Public Artist in Residence Yazmany Arboleda. As the team’s lead typographer, I was quickly trusted to manage our small team of designers.
I lead the development of outreach materials, including:
Print materials (posters, postcards, and flyers)
Promotional social media graphics (20+ variations created)
Digital ads displayed on LinkNYC & the Staten Island Ferry Stations screens
The exterior wrapping of the Ice Cream Truck of Rights
